Dear Faith Formation Families,

We are very excited to be welcoming our in-person students back to the parish center for their Faith Formation classes. With the extended Christmas vacation and the additional one missed class (half of the in-person students missed the week of December 5 and the second half missed the week of January 5), it does seem like it has been a long time since there were students in the building. Our home school program was not impacted and those students have continued to follow their schedule of lessons, assignments, and due dates.

In-person classes are scheduled to start on January 23rd – and we are following the same schedule, the same times, the same groups of students that were utilized in the fall. If you need a copy of the calendar, there is one on St Ann’s website (scroll down). Not all activities have been scheduled yet as we are still working with dates – we will get them on the calendar ASAP and communicate them out to those involved (ie First Reconciliation for those making their First Communion).

As we get the in-person program up and running again, we will continue to follow the Covid protocols for providing a safe environment for the students, volunteers, and teachers. All people in the building will be required to wear masks and use hand sanitizer once they arrive.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call (508 824-9021) or email Faith Formation updates will continue to be published in the weekly bulletin and announced at weekly Mass.  St Ann’s website is also updated under the Religious Education News section. There are also links to the bulletin and YouTube for live streaming and/or taped Masses. If you would like to receive email or texts updates, please register for FlockNote by texting StAnnRaynham to 84576 or go to and sign up for the Faith Formation/Religious Education updates. If you have some time and would like to volunteer as a teacher or as a helper, please let me know. The more, the merrier!

I am very pleased to be the new Director of Religious Education at St. Ann’s. I grew up in Raynham and have been a parishioner here since I was a young child. I attended CCD (as it was called then) here and later was a grade 1 teacher in the program for many years. With my background as an elementary teacher, high school assistant principal, and director of curriculum for the last 36 years, I do feel that I have a good understanding of teaching and learning. Because I have been around St Ann’s for a long time, I also feel that I know a lot of folks already but if you find yourself in the parish center, please stop in the office so we can officially meet.

Best Regards,

Joan E. Lynn
Director of Religious Education

Mark your calendars for the reopening of our Parish Religious Education program. Students will continue to follow the same schedule as before we broke: same day, same time.

Sunday, January 23rd – Group 2 (9:15am – 10:45am)
Confirmation 10 (12:00pm – 1:30pm)
Monday, January 24th – Group 5 (5:00pm – 6:30pm)
Lifeteen 2 (7:00pm – 8:15pm)
Tuesday, January 25th – Groups 4 & 6 (5:15pm – 6:45pm)

The classes will be divided into groups according to the proper grade level. Books will be distributed (you’ve already paid for them) to be brought home for any assignments and then brought back to class each week.

There will be a meeting of all teachers, volunteers, including those who would like to teach and volunteer this Tuesday, January 11th at 7:00pm in the parish center with Joan Lynn, our new Religious Education Director, and
Father Jim. Thanks for your service, and your understanding and cooperation during this time of readjustment!!

Updated Religious Education calendar.

Here is a revised calendar for the in-person class schedule for January and February.  Please note that the days and times have not changed for class meetings.  There is no impact or changes to our  Home School program that continues to follow the schedule of assignments and due dates that was outlined in the fall.

Other activities outside of the class meeting times – like Grade 2 reconciliation are not included on this calendar yet. Father Jim and I are working to schedule those events and will get that information to you as soon as possible as we realize that families are busy and calendars get booked quickly.  We appreciate your patience as we work through this transition.

If you have any questions, please feel free to call the office (508) 824-9021
