As most of you are aware, I’ve been Moderator of The Curia of the Diocese of Fall River for the past five years. A few months ago I asked Bishop da Cunha to allow me to step away from that role. He kindly accepted that request. This past Friday, April 30, was my last day in that role. While I am relieved and pleased to have completed this time, I am grateful to have had the opportunity to serve in this capacity.
The role has been challenging for many reasons. Some of the things I’ve done have been difficult and painful. I’ve learned more about our diocese than I ever thought I would learn. I say this to tell you that I could not have fulfilled the duties of this role without you, my parish family. Whether you realize it or not you have made it possible for me to do what was asked of me. I can never express to you the full extent of my gratitude.
Thank you for your support and prayers. I am grateful to be your priest.
God bless you all,
