The Diocese of Fall River mandates that all our volunteers take the “Safe Environment ONLINE Training” course for Lay Volunteers, and complete a CORI background check. Anyone who volunteers in any capacity at St. Ann’s: Lectors, Eucharistic Ministers, Faith Formation teachers/volunteers, members of Saint Vincent de Paul, Knights of Columbus, Choir, and any other parish organization must complete a CORI form yearly and take the Diocesan Safe Environment Training
every six years.
Safe Environment Training
This is an online program you can do from home. The link is on our website or printed directions are in the vesting room at the front of the church. When you finish, we will need a copy of the “Certificate of Completion”. For anyone without access to a computer, we have one in the parish center for you to use. Please contact Joan
Lynn in the Faith Formation Office, 508-824-9021, or Deb Korotsky in the Parish Office, 508-823-9833, to schedule a convenient time.
This year there will be an in-person group session for the Safe Environment Training, on Tuesday, August 23rd at 6:30pm in the Parish Center. Sign up now at the entrance to the church, or call Joan or Deb in the office to reserve a spot. CORI forms may be completed and turned in at this time.
CORI screenings must be renewed yearly. This only takes a few minutes but you will need to bring the completed form to the parish office in person with your identification. The parish office is open Monday – Thursday, 8:00am to 3:00pm. CORI forms can be printed from the church website, picked up at the parish office or
the vesting room in the front of the church.
