Dear Friends,

As you know, earlier this week Governor Baker issued a “stay at home” advisory. This went into effect on March 24 and remains in effect at least until April 7. As a result of this our Parish Center and offices will be closed and locked until then.

During these challenging times, we need prayer. Please pray as a family. The Rosary and other devotions are very appropriate at this time. A suggestion for families with children; create an outdoor “Stations of The Cross.” Lent is a time that we are called to meditate on the Passion of our Lord. What better way is there to teach the children about this?

I’ve been very moved by the number of people who have called, stopped by or emailed asking how we can still support our Parish during this time. While I know there are many who are struggling financially right now for many reasons, I certainly am not addressing this to those who are in that situation. There are a couple of options we have to be able to send in parish financial support. The first is simply mailing in your financial support. This past week I set up “online giving”. I am including the link in this message. It’s fairly simple to set up. I signed up myself and already have money coming out of my checking account weekly to support the parish. I can assure you this is a safe and secure setup. The company which is providing this is our bulletin company, LPI. They have a program called “We Share”.

During these challenging times, I will offer a recorded Sunday Mass via our website, Facebook page, and Flocknote. Please share this information with other parishioners and encourage them to sign up for the Flocknote updates. Please be assured I am offering Mass privately every day. I am offering these Masses for the intentions people have requested for the Daily Mass but I am also offering the Mass for each of you and for an end to this health crisis. You are also in my daily prayers. Let us pray for one another during these days.

God bless you all,

Fr. John
